No, neither stupid thing is the cost, which -- at least for the park-district-run preschools around here -- is relatively fair. On the other hand, having to register your child in November 2007 for a preschool starting in September 2008 is stupid, particularly since some of the preschools require the children to be potty-trained and how am I supposed to know if my child is going to be potty-trained 10 months in the future, huh? It is also stupid that if your child is born September 2nd, it is required that they go to a younger preschool than a child born September 1st, even though the September 2nd child may be socially and intellectually more advanced than the September 1st child and both could benefit by swapping the two.
Also, this is what Benji will learn in preschool next year: "colors, shapes, [and] counting numbers 1-5." Yes, because it's that dang number 4 that trips him up on his way counting to 50.
I apologize for the lack of posts as of late. Along with the obvious reasons that might be the case (that we won't get into on this blog quite yet but that y'all know), our laptop has decided that it is lazy and will only stay on for eight minutes at a crack before shutting itself off completely. Unfortunately, this new "feature" of our laptop makes finishing blog posts quite diffic
i sincerely do not know what you are doing here. are you lost? were you
looking for your delicate calico cat, and did you follow her up two flights of stairs
to this room? she is not here. she was here, yes. we gave her a warm bowl of milk, we talked with her about campaign finance reform for a time, and then she bid us good day. i believe she was
going to the post office two blocks down, but i don't quite recall.
for surely you did
not find your way from prinsiana, the least traveled site on
the internet. if you did, though, perhaps you are looking for humor. perhaps you are looking for profundity. perhaps you are looking for answers.
i'm sorry, but you shall go naught-for-three.
